From Pollution to Possibility

We are reimagining the future of plastic through community-driven solutions, starting in the heart of the Caribbean.

The Story Behind RePlastic

Plastic waste is one of the world’s fastest-growing problems, but it’s also an untapped resource. RePlastic helps communities turn plastic pollution into practical solutions, transforming waste into materials that can build, furnish, and strengthen the places we call home.

Traditional recycling systems rely on large, centralized facilities, long transportation chains, and consistent municipal infrastructure. In many island communities, that infrastructure simply does not exist. Plastic is often shipped long distances for processing, stockpiled indefinitely, or discarded altogether. Awareness campaigns and cleanup programs are important parts of the solution, but they aren’t the complete answer.

RePlastic was founded around the idea that the missing piece wasn’t another program, it was infrastructure. Instead of focusing only on collection or advocacy, the goal became building a system that could process plastic locally from start to finish. By designing a full-circle recycling and fabrication system, plastic waste could be turned into a raw material and manufactured into durable products such as furniture, building materials, and everyday goods. The approach treats plastic not as waste, but as a resource that communities can manage and use themselves.

The St. Croix Connection:
Steve & Amy's Vision

Plastic waste is a visible and growing problem in rural, coastal, and island communities around the world. Years of travel and time spent around oceans and shorelines revealed the same pattern again and again: beautiful places overwhelmed by plastic with very few systems in place to manage it.

When Steve and Amy eventually settled in St. Croix, the problem felt closer to home. Plastic was piling up in landfills, washing up on beaches, and scattered across land, circulating through communities that had limited options for dealing with it.

"Our goal is to help rural, coastal, and island communities around the world turn plastic waste into opportunity. Building local solutions that protect the places we love."

Today, RePlastic stands as a testament to that vision. We’ve turned the lessons learned in St. Croix into a scalable model for climate-tech that empowers local communities worldwide.

Our Identity

Company Overview

RePlastic Recycle is at the forefront of the climate-tech revolution, transforming waste into high-value industrial feedstock. We integrate deep-tech engineering with scalable infrastructure to bridge the gap between sustainability and profitability.

RePlastic Recycle is a privately owned, family-founded business entity focused on recycling infrastructure, manufacturing, and environment/climate tech. The company operates as a mission-driven enterprise that sustains its operations through the sale of systems, RaaS (Recycling-as-a-Service) Infrastructure, and products manufactured from recycled plastic materials.

Headquartered in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, where its primary recycling and fabrication facility is located. The St. Croix site functions as both the operational center for local plastic collection and processing, as well as the primary development and testing site for the company’s recycling systems and fabrication technologies.

RePlastic Recycle LLC is a  subsidiary of RePlastic Corporation. It operates as our local entity and proof of how an island system runs and operates.

RePlastic Recycle has been actively operating in St. Croix for over three years, collecting and processing plastic materials from local businesses, schools, organizations, and community programs. The facility performs full-circle plastic recycling system design and operations, including plastic sorting, shredding, washing, material processing, and fabrication into finished products.

The St. Croix facility serves as the pilot and development site for the company’s modular recycling infrastructure model. The systems and processes being developed are designed to be integrated into a containerized recycling platform that can be deployed in island and coastal communities lacking traditional recycling infrastructure.

The deployment model focuses on modular systems that can be transported and installed within shipping containers, allowing communities to process plastic waste locally and convert it into useful materials such as plastic lumber and building products. RePlastic Recycle is currently refining this system through iterations of operational experience in St. Croix, with the long-term goal of deploying similar systems in other communities where plastic waste management infrastructure is limited.

Foundations

Our Principles

Guided by systemic change and technological rigor, we are redefining the circular economy
through high-performance infrastructure.

Infrastructure First

RePlastic focuses on building systems that provide the infrastructure to solve plastic waste management problems at their root rather than short-term initiatives. By developing practical recycling infrastructure, communities gain the ability to manage materials locally and sustainably. The goal is to create durable systems that continue working long after individual projects end.

Local Ownership

Solutions work best when they are built with and for the communities they serve. RePlastic designs systems that can be owned and operated locally, allowing communities to turn their own plastic waste into useful materials. This approach keeps both the responsibility and the economic value within the community.

Environmental Responsibility

Respect for the natural environment is central to how RePlastic operates. Every decision—from material selection to manufacturing processes—is guided by the goal of reducing waste and protecting ecosystems. Plastic is treated not as disposable waste, but as a resource that can be reformed and reused responsibly.

p_svg4

Economic Sustainability

Long-term environmental solutions must also make economic sense. RePlastic operates as a self-sustaining enterprise where recycled materials are transformed into products that generate revenue while creating local jobs and economic opportunity.

p_svg5

Transparency & Accountability

Open communication and responsible operations build trust with communities, partners, and stakeholders. Data tracking and reporting, and plastic/carbon credits will be shared openly for complete transparency. This ensures that environmental progress and operational integrity go hand in hand.

Circular Innovation Vector-1

Circular Innovation

We bridge the gap between waste and utility. By continually refining our modular technology, we ensure that the lifecycle of plastic is entirely closed-loop, minimizing footprint while maximizing local utility. Through this continuous cycle, we turn environmental liabilities into sustainable assets.
